HOW TO AVOID FALLING PREY TO RELIGIOUS SCAM ARTISTS.
A lot of evil things happen to good and zealous Christians just because we want to work for God. We left ourselves open to religious scam artist each years. During my early years of Christianity, I was very zealous to preach the gospel. I was not the only one, all of the newly converted people are like that, we are eager to share our new found faith and new found love and joy to others. This left us open to every religious mongooses that came along. These religious leaders would use us to preach out new work, start new churches, put up our own money to establish the work, as soon as the church reaches maturity and begin to turnover money the so cal leaders find a way to drive out all the first timers who put up money, help buy land, and help make the ministry became a reality. They find a way to fazed us out so we have no claimed on the ministry, because we never have any thing written contract, we have to just move on like dog that have been beaten, some of us leave the faith due to the many disappointment that we have encounter.
About year back, a minister friend and my self planned to start a series of ministries. But because we both belonging to two different organization, and none of us were willing to go over to the other. However, since the doctrines were the same and we both know each other, we decide to start the series of ministries together. The verbal agreement was as fallow.
When we get at least twenty members that can help with the financial burdens we would separate, and start a second ministry, each carry half of the congregations, it would be just like another outreach, we were not splitting up because of animosity, but we needed each other to get to that point, or to get off the ground we say, then we could give our ministries name accordingly to our original organizations, we would continue to support each others just like we were sisters churches. However before we started we suppose to meet.
My wife and I, his wife and himself must came together for a day of fasting, prayers, discussion and finally draw up some kind of contract on how to implemented the ministry.
The next thing I heard, he called me, he rented a place, give the ministry a name, and call my wife and I to fall in behind him to support the ministry and be his disciples. We went to give him our support in starting, even though he went solo. Things start off with a bang, a good crowd, the third week he went off into money. The forth week the people begin to fall back and drop out. By the six week every thing cal laps and end with a bang just as it has started. Had we talk about things before I would have instruct him not to ever mention money. The complete monitory responsibility would rested upon the two family, which was easy for us to carry.
